Kedah menteri besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor has doubled down on his claims that Penang belongs to Kedah. He even wants the Federal Constitution to be amended to back his claim. According to FMT, he said that historical and academic studies supported his claim that Kedah owned Penang and called for the current generation to rectify the “distortion of history” and amend the Federal Constitution accordingly.

We arrived by plane with the ultra-cheap AirAsia ticket to Georgetown, Penang. The easiest and very cheap way to get from the airport to our hotel was by Grab taxi. Our favorite thing to do is to find newly built hotels and test them out for you. This time it’s the Citadines Connect Hotel with currently 3 stars. We booked a studio executive twin including breakfast. The modern feel of the hotel was very nice, the room was clean and the staff was super friendly. The view of the room was non existing and the breakfast was okay. Having said that we did research the breakfast so all of this was no surprise and the price was cheap. They are preparing a separate breakfast room in the future. The location of the hotel was close to many stores, restaurants and shopping mall. There was lots to do and you still had really good and quiet night’s sleep. The 1st avenue mall is 6-8 min walk, 15 minutes to the Art street and in the evenings across the street you can find 'hideaway 28' to have drinks with live music.
