What is Ansible ? How ansible Works? Ansible configuration management in devops Hey guys, today we're going to be talking about Ansible, an open-source automation tool used for managing and configuring IT infrastructure. Ansible is a popular tool used by DevOps engineers and system administrators to automate tasks such as software deployment, configuration management, and application orchestration across multiple servers simultaneously. One of the great things about Ansible is its simple, agentless architecture. This means it doesn't require any additional software to be installed on the servers it's managing, and it communicates with the servers through SSH, WinRM or other remote management protocols to execute tasks. Ansible uses a declarative language, YAML, to describe the desired state of the infrastructure. Users define the state of their servers and applications in a playbook, which contains a series of tasks and commands that Ansible will execute in sequence. What is Terraform: 🤍 What is Kubernetes: 🤍 What is Docker : 🤍 Another benefit of Ansible is its ease of use. It's known for its simplicity and can be used to manage both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure. It also integrates well with other tools and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. So if you're looking for a tool to automate your IT infrastructure, Ansible is definitely worth checking out. It's a powerful and easy-to-use tool that can save you a lot of time and effort. Thanks for watching, and I hope you found this video helpful! #ansible #devops What is ansible tower and how it works What is ansible tower Working of ansible tower Ansible host file Ansible playbook Ansible commands Ansible for beginners Ansible automation Ansible modules Ansible Configuration

This webinar is based on Tim Appnel's talk from AnsibleFest Austin 2018, which was a followup to Ansible Best Practices: The Essentials. It delves into the topic of developing roles and modules to extend the power of Ansible automation while maintaining readability and simplicity. Based on actual experiences helping Ansible users, we show you what to do (and what not to do) to create the most reliable, resilient, and easy-to-manage automation solutions.
Ansible roles provide a framework for fully independent, or interdependent collections of variables, tasks, files, templates, and modules. In Ansible, the role is the primary mechanism for breaking a playbook into multiple files. This simplifies writing complex playbooks, and it makes them easier to reuse. #ansible #roles #automation Ansible Automation Playlist: 🤍 RHCSA - Red Hat Certified System Administrator PlayList: 🤍 Follow Us on Social Media Github: 🤍 Facebook: 🤍 Twitter: 🤍 Instagram: 🤍 Website: 🤍 Reddit: 🤍 Post your topic, we will make videos for you 🤍 Ansible Course Automation with Ansible Course 🤍 Ansible Lab Setup 🤍 Ansible Inventory configuration 🤍 Ansible Ad-Hoc Commands with examples 🤍 Writing your first Ansible playbook guide 🤍 How to variables in Ansible playbook 🤍 Conditionals and Loops of Ansible playbooks 🤍 Ansible playbook challenge 🤍 Deploy LAMP Stack Using Ansible Playbook 🤍 Tags Ansible 🤍

▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⭐️ Guide and Repository ⭐️ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Github Repository : 🤍 A role in Ansible is a group of tasks, variables, files, and templates that may be applied to different playbooks. Roles offer a modular system for classifying and packaging a component or application's configuration. Ansible tasks are a collection of commands that are carried out on the target hosts. A task can carry out a variety of tasks, including the installation of packages, the modification of files, and the launching or stopping of services. This is an illustration of how roles and tasks function in Ansible: Consider a web application that is made up of a load balancer, a database server, and a web server. Each component can have a unique role created for it, and each role's configuration and deployment requirements can be specified. We may, for instance, create a role named "web-server" that entails duties like: 1. Set up and customize the Apache web server 2. Make files for virtual host configuration. 3. PHP and its modules should be installed and configured. 4. Configure and install SSL certificates In a similar vein, we might have a role named "database-server" that entails duties like: 1. Installing and setting up a database server such as MySQL or PostgreSQL 2. Create and customize database permissions and users 3. Set up database clustering or replication Last but not least, we could create a role named "load-balancer" that entails duties like: 1. Install and set up a load balancer using HAProxy or Nginx. 2. Configure the health checks and load balancing algorithms. 3. Set up SSL rerouting and termination Our Ansible code can be easily reused, maintained, and made more modular and scalable by separating roles for each component. Then, using Ansible's pre-built modules and commands, we can execute these roles on the target hosts by including them in our main playbook. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⭐️ Time Stamps ⭐️ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ 0:00 Intro 0:22 Roles and Tasks Structure 1:54 Demo 02:03 How to create tasks? 03:26 How to create sub-tasks? 05:22 Run playbook ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⭐️ Follow me ⭐️ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Linkedin - 🤍 Twitter - 🤍 To learn more on DevOps visit - 🤍 Learn more onto Anisble - 🤍 Disclaimer/Policy: All the content/instructions are solely mine. Ansible-Roles: Roles are to reduce the complexity of playbook we use ansible roles Using roles You can use roles in three ways: at the play level with the roles option: This is the classic way of using roles in a play. at the tasks level with include_role: You can reuse roles dynamically anywhere in the tasks section of a play using include_role. at the tasks level with import_role: You can reuse roles statically anywhere in the tasks section of a play using import_role. Using roles directory structure of roles are: roles/ common/ # this hierarchy represents a "role" tasks/ # main.yml # tasks file can include smaller files if warranted handlers/ # main.yml # handlers file templates/ # files for use with the template resource ntp.conf.j2 # templates end in .j2 files/ # bar.txt # files for use with the copy resource foo.sh # script files for use with the script resource vars/ # main.yml # variables associated with this role defaults/ # main.yml # default lower priority variables for this role meta/ # main.yml # role dependencies library/ # roles can also include custom modules module_utils/ # roles can also include custom module_utils lookup_plugins/ # or other types of plugins, like lookup in this case webtier/ # same kind of structure as "common" was above, done for the webtier role monitoring/ # "" fooapp/ # "" Any pre_tasks defined in the play. Any handlers triggered by pre_tasks. Each role listed in roles:, in the order listed. Any role dependencies defined in the role’s meta/main.yml run first, subject to tag filtering and conditionals. See Using role dependencies for more details. Any tasks defined in the play. Any handlers triggered by the roles or tasks. Any post_tasks defined in the play. Any handlers triggered by post_tasks.

▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⭐️ Guide and Repository ⭐️ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Github Repository : 🤍 Ansible is a configuration management tool that uses a simple, human-readable language to describe the desired state of a system. The basic structure of an Ansible project includes the following elements: 1. Roles: Roles are a way to organize playbooks and other files in a structured way. A role represents a specific function or a set of tasks, such as installing a specific software package or configuring a service. 2. Hosts: Hosts are the systems that Ansible will manage. The hosts can be specified in an inventory file, which is a plain text file that lists the hostnames or IP addresses of the systems that Ansible should manage. 3. Tasks: Tasks are the individual actions that Ansible will perform on the hosts. Tasks are defined in playbooks, which are written in YAML and specify the order in which tasks should be executed. 4. Inventory file: The inventory file is a plain text file that lists the hostnames or IP addresses of the systems that Ansible should manage. The inventory file can also be used to specify additional information about the hosts, such as the user to connect as or the location of the private key to use for SSH connections. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⭐️ Time Stamps ⭐️ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ 0:00 What is Ansible hosts, invetory, roles, tasks and playbook? 06:51 How to create your first ansible project from scratch? 08:28 What is Ansible hosts file? 10:03 What is Ansible Hosts and Roles? 10:54 How to execute Ansible playbook command? ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⭐️ Follow me ⭐️ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Linkedin - 🤍 Twitter - 🤍 To learn more on DevOps visit - 🤍 Disclaimer/Policy: All the content/instructions are solely mine.
