Donc si vous faites cela sur un répertoire et que déjà une partie des fichiers a déjà été téléchargée, vous allez tous les recharger. Bref perte de temps et de bandes passantes pour les gros fichiers. Une solution consiste à utiliser rsync et ssh. How to Setup Rsync without password with SSH on UNIX / Linux? The Question: How can I set up a rsync between two hosts without providing any password? Solutions: Please watch the whole video to see all solutions, in order of how many people found them helpful This solution helped 30 people Below is the article from 🤍 without-password/: 1. Test rsync over ssh (with password): Do a rsync to make sure it asks for the password for your account on the remote server, and successfully copies the files to the remote server. The following example will synchronize the local folder /home/test to the remote folder /backup/test (on 192.168.200.10 server). This should ask you for the password of your account on the remote server. rsync -avz -e ssh /home/test/ user🤍192.168.200.10:/backup/test/ 2. ssh-keygen generates keys. Now setup ssh so that it doesn't ask for password when you perform ssh. Use ssh-keygen on local server to generate public and private keys. $ ssh-keygen Enter passphrase (empty for no passphrase): Enter same passphrase again: Note: When it asks you to enter the passphrase just press enter key, and do not give any password here. 3. ssh-copy-id copies public key to remote host Use ssh-copy-id, to copy the public key to the remote host. ssh-copy-id -i ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub user🤍192.168.200.10 Note: The above will ask the password for the user account on the remote host, and copy the public key automatically to the appropriate location. If ssh-copy-id doesn't work for you, use the method we discussed earlier to setup ssh password less login. 4. Perform rsync over ssh without password Now, you should be able to ssh to remote host without entering the password. ssh user🤍192.168.200.10 Perform the rsync again, it should not ask you to enter any password this time. rsync -avz -e ssh /home/test/ user🤍192.168.200.10:/backup/test/ With thanks & praise to God, and with thanks to the many people who have made this project possible! | Content (except music & images) licensed under cc by-sa 3.0 | Music: 🤍 | Images: 🤍 & others | With thanks to the Stack Exchange Network (🤍 Trademarks are property of their respective owners. #Welcome to Nehra Classes Youtube Channel# #Automate Backup Using rsync & crontab in Linux# rsync or remote synchronization is a software utility for Unix-Like systems that efficiently sync files and directories between two hosts or machines. One of them being the source or the local-host from which the files will be synced, the other one being the remote-host, on which synchronization will take place. There are basically two ways in which rsync can copy/sync data: Copying/syncing to/from another host over any remote shell like ssh, rsh. Copying/Syncing through rsync daemon using TCP. This is a Re-Upload from my previous channel. Update iWeb Via SSH using RSYNC in Terminal Update iWeb Via SSH using RSYNC in Terminal In this tutorial I will show you how to use Terminal in MAC OS X to upload & update your iWeb Site via SSH using RSYNC in Terminal. This will save you lots of time in having to re-upload your entire site especially when you use you own host rather then a DOTMAC account to host you own iWeb Sites. Since many host will allow Syncing via FTP that is great but with iWeb when you publish your site to a folder then upload it to your site, then the problem comes up where all the dates have changed. Even though you may have only changed a file or two. Thus forcing you to have to upload everything again unless you know exactly what to upload your self. So by using the RSYNC in Terminal it will do all the dirty work for you. Terminal Command Needed: rsync -avz Sites/mysite/ user...🤍webhost.com:webroot/
